I'm Clem. French - American by birth, Australian by choice, and probably the most straight-talking social media person you'll ever work with.

Sixteen years ago I followed my heart to Sydney and never looked back. These days I live here with my husband and our little one, and I run Honey Bee Social as a one-woman operation. That last part is deliberate, and I'll explain why in a moment.

How I got here

My husband started a small business and needed marketing help but had no budget for an agency. So I figured it out. Not from a textbook, but from actually doing it, testing what worked, ditching what didn't, and building systems that made sense for a real business with real constraints.

That experience taught me something I've never forgotten: small B2B service businesses don't need a $10,000 a month agency. They need someone who understands their world, gets on with the work, and doesn't require constant hand-holding to do it.

That's been the foundation of everything I've built since.

On AI, and why I use it differently

When AI came on the scene I was hooked immediately. But I've always treated it carefully. As Dennis Yu said when I interviewed him: "AI is like fire. It can either burn you or cook a good steak."

I use AI as a tool, not a crutch. It's part of my process openly and without apology, because it lets me produce more for my clients without cutting corners on quality. But every single piece of content that goes out has had my eyes on it and my judgement applied to it first. That's very different from the approach you'll see from plenty of others out there who generate AI slop wholesale and have no idea what's actually being posted on their clients' channels.

My clients know exactly how I work. They're fine with it. The quality speaks for itself.

Why one-woman

I work with a small number of clients at a time and I intend to keep it that way. It means the people I work with get my full attention, not a junior account manager and a templated strategy.

When you work with Honey Bee Social, you work with me. Every time.

The bit that has nothing to do with marketing

I'm a burrito addict of the highest order. GYG's mini mild chicken burrito with guac should honestly be renamed after me. I also have a deep and possibly unreasonable love of a good margarita, which led me down the rabbit hole of infusing my own tequila. Exotic fruits, unusual flavours, nothing off the shelf. If you ever want to talk tequila, I'm available.

I've visited five of seven continents, I once crossed paths with Johnny Depp in Paris, and my full name is 29 letters long which makes filling out forms genuinely painful.

Parks and Recreation is my comfort show and Leslie Knope is my parasocial best friend. But if we're talking spirit animals, I'm firmly in the bin chicken camp. Resourceful, a little chaotic, completely unbothered, and thriving in environments others find overwhelming. If you know, you know.

If you've been referred to me, chances are you already know roughly what I do. But if you want to understand exactly how the Authority Content System works and whether it's the right fit for your business, let's have a proper chat.

No hard sell. Just an honest conversation.
